Modeling and Simulation Engineer / Analyst

LinQuest is seeking an experienced Modeling & Simulation Professional to join our team at Eglin AFB. An active Secret clearance is required. Applicants should have experience in running analytical models in support of research, analysis, problem solving and decision support. Applicants should be familiar with coding and scripting languages used to develop and execute analytical models. Understanding customer requirements, adjusting modeling efforts to meet those requirements, and effectively communicating results are some of the expectations for M&S Professionals. Successful applicants should understand how adjusting model parameters will impact run-time and result validity. Additionally, the M&S Professional will be able to clearly articulate model limitations in both real, numerical terms and in military utility terms. Finally, a successful M&S professional will be interested in and willing to expand their modeling skills across multiple DOD models at varying levels of fidelity. Required Skills:
Expertise with using the Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint) Ability to work well both independently or as part of a team Experience with C++, Python, or other scripting language Experience running or developing models in support of analytical studies or wargaming efforts (eg:
AFSIM, NGTS, EADSIM, STORM, etc) Preferred Skills:
Experience and training working extensively with AFSIM Experience coding in C+
Required
Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in software engineering, systems engineering, data science, operations research, computational methods, statistics, or related field) 5
years' experience in analytic or related roles 3
years' experience running or developing models An active Secret clearance Preferred
Experience:
A Master's degree in software engineering, systems engineering, data science, operations research, computational methods, statistics, or related field) 10 years experience within the DoD or as a Defense Contractor working in analytic or related roles (with at least 3 years running or developing models) Experience using analytic model output to support larger analytic objectives Understanding of analytical methods and their uses/applications Understanding of military operations Working as part of a team to refine study requirements based on larger research goals Understanding of AF munitions and weapon system capabilities, limitations, and employment concepts

Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
