We're looking for an Apprentice Project Coordinator to complete a two-year training program, which teaches you how to design high-quality, well-integrated, reliable overhead and underground distribution power lines while striving to achieve member/customer satisfaction related to Eglin AFB Utility Privitization Contract.
Apprentice Project Coordinator Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
Training or experience in the electrical field and consumer relations desirable.
Previous staking or construction experience in the electrical utility desired but not required.
Must be able to actively listen, speak to others to convey information effectively, and utilize reading skills.
Must be able to use critical thinking skills and problem sensitivity.
Must be able to use written and oral comprehension and expression.
Must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures such as word processing and managing files and records, and basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
Position Duties:
As an Apprentice Project Coordinator, you would:
Build proficiency with the Eglin Utility Privatization (UP) in order to provide this information about the contract to customers, contractors, government agencies, and other internal departments.
Design high quality, well-integrated, reliable overhead and underground services/systems, as measured by supervisor's review and evaluation and services'/systems' performance.
Additionally, service designs should demonstrate continuous improvement with experience, as measured by supervisor's review.
Support tasks associated with the design and management of construction work plan projects.
Coordinate site access and identify field storage locations (and permission for use) with facility and site managers.
Support work tasks associated with requests from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
Provide accurate and appropriate justification and detailed explanation for components included in the design of the project.
Process, calculate, and prepare electronic staking sheets, job cost requirements and contract impacts.
Enter job information into multiple software platforms and tracking spreadsheets to ensure proper workflow.
The cooperative may decide to hire a second-year Apprentice Project Coordinator or Project Coordinator should the candidate skill level meet the minimum qualifications for the position.
The normal workweek is Monday through Friday, 6:
30 am to 3:
00 pm at the CHELCO Eglin AFB office.
With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance at a designated worksite location is considered essential.
The Location CHELCO is located in Northwest, Florida.
