Maintains an accurate status of all emergency response equipment and personnel to ensure prompt and accurate response.
Provides advanced emergency medical dispatch life support through pre-arrival instructions to callers.
Responds to emergency 911 calls by providing emergency dispatching services.
Perform Emergency Medical Dispatch services to callers with medical emergencies.
Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required.

Citizenship Required Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Ability to type at least 40 wpm.
Random drug testing may be required depending upon the position being filled.
This is a Mission Essential (ME) position performing a Mission Critical Function (MCF) which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.

com/find-a-job/ Incumbent must obtain International Fire Service Accreditation Congress Certification as a Telecommunicator, Level I and II and HAZMAT Awareness.
Must be able to obtain within one year of hire.
Incumbent is required to work on alternate work schedule, which requires an uncommon tour of duty (including weekends and holidays).
Incumbent is required to perform critical services regardless of weather conditions or base closure and report to the duty station at the regularly scheduled work time.
May be required to respond on off-duty time during a force protection incident, or stay over until the emergency has been terminated or until properly relieved by a qualified dispatcher.
Works in close harmony with supervisors, co-workers, and others during day-to-day routines and during emergencies.
Is required to maintain good working relationships with on and off-base agencies, maintaining a consistently courteous attitude at all times.
Keeps calm and cool during emergency situations.
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a current EMD certification, including initial and follow-on certification.
Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification during employment.
Must participate in exercises by relaying accurate information.
Must be resourceful and alert to adequately perform duties.
Incumbent must participate in recurrent proficiency training, as directed.

Experience:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower level GS-05.
