Aerospace Engineer

Qualis Corporation is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to provide concept design, analysis and test planning support to Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate, Munitions Aerodynamics Sciences Branch (AFRL/RWWV) supporting the TEAS contract at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.
The TEAS program provides technical, engineering and integration support to the research, development, acquisition, test and evaluation of air- launched weapon systems, test and training range systems, and numerous air combat support systems
Responsibilities
Designing, analyzing, and testing new weapon airframe and actuation technologies for a broad class of precision air-launched weapons.
Assist with planning, coordinating, executing, and documenting modeling and simulation activities, including support of in-house computational aerodynamics and structural dynamics modeling efforts.
Review system requirements, drawings, hardware and software specifications, test plans, test procedures, and schedules and assist with defining and developing technical, hardware and software design, and test requirements documentation.
Assist with data reduction, analysis, and documentation of test results. Test duties include preparing technical data packages for wind tunnel and flight experiments.
Assist with the preparation of proposals to/with academia, federal laboratories, industry, international, and other external providers of technologies relevant to the respective science and technology planning goals and technical challenges.
Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience required; or 7 year of experience with a Masters degree; or 5 years of experience with a PhD.
Experience with airframe, propulsion, controls, and/or actuator design and analysis required.
Experience with modeling and simulation of weapon vehicles, including exposure to CAD, computational aerodynamics and mechanics preferred.
Experience with test planning and data analysis preferred.
Experience planning, executing, and reporting on science and technology research programs is preferred. Experience using Microsoft Office applications to understand, document, report, and present complex technical issues preferred.
Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and make critical decisions in short timeframes.
Must be able to work effectively and efficiently.
Applicants must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
Must be able to provide clear, concise, and accurate communication.
Must work well with customers, supervisors, and coworkers and able to receive supervision.
Must be able to work effectively alone, unsupervised or in groups.
Requires punctuality for scheduled duty hours.
Grooming and dress must be professional, appropriate for the position, and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or to others.
Must be able to work flexible and varied hours.
Travel
15% travel requirement.
Must be able to rent and operate a rental car while TDY.
Clearance
The candidate must be eligible for and able to maintain an Active Secret Clearance.
Active Secret Clearance preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
