We areseeking a qualified Systems Administrator to support the 53rd Wing TechnicalSupport Services contract, to provide the Air Force IT services for multiplecomputing platforms, architectures, and operating systems. Position will be located at Eglin AFB, FL.
Theindividual will be working in a fast-paced and highly technical area thatrequires a strong work ethic and attention to detail. The job requires managing a highlyheterogeneous computing environment that includes current and legacy systemsacross multiple networks. A backgroundin networking, to include addressing, ports and protocols is recommended. The individual will provide support to usersin the area of account management, system troubleshooting, backups, andproactive system management. Thecandidate will also support the Information Assurance (IA) process and relatedtasks and ensure compliance with all IA-related requirements.
Education
Formaltraining and/or certification in Windows/Linux systems administration and five(5) years or more of progressive, relevant experience is required. A BS degree in a computer or system sciencediscipline from an accredited college or university is highly desired.
RequiredExperience
Musthave TS/SCI with DCID 6/4 eligibility within 5.5 years at the time ofapplication
Mustbe willing to submit to a CI polygraph
5-7years direct experience.
5 years of experience deploying and managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) andWindows Servers.
3 years of experience in networking hardware and topologies (routing/switching/VLANs/firewalls)
DoD8140.01/8570.01-M IAT-II (e.g., Security or better)
DesiredSkills
RedHat Enterprise Linux certification (RHCSA or RHCE)
Microsoftcertification (MCSA or better)
Experiencein enterprise backup solutions
Knowledgeof LDAP and/or Single Sign-On (SSO)
Knowledgeof legacy Unix systems (Solaris and Tru64)
Knowledgeof OpenVMS systems
Abilityto develop and maintain system scripts (Bourne, Korn, and MS Power Shell)

Work Environment
Officesetting that includes sedentary physical effort. However, may include lifting of weight up tothirty (30) pounds as necessary. Must beable to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmentalconditions. Periodic/occasional travelmay be required to include both continental US and/or overseas locations.
PhysicalRequirements
Workmay involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing, and reading froma computer screen. Must have sufficientmobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling tocomplete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parkingavailability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may berequired.

Attendance
Typicalwork hours are Monday-Friday 7:
00 AM - 3:
30 PM. Regular attendance during scheduled hours is extremely important, butnot critical, with the exceptions of deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance arenecessary to meet deadlines. May berequired to adjust work hours due to surge situations based on critical missionrequirements.
OtherEssential Functions
Mustdemonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers,management and co-workers. Must haveclear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal andwritten. Grooming and dress must beappropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees orothers. Must maintain a positive workatmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to work siteis required. Travel to and fromcustomer's locations may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly bemade for POV, if necessary. Whenoperating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt. In addition, no cellular devices are to beused when the vehicle is in motion.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
