IT Project Manager

We are seeking a qualified project manager (PM) to provide information technology (IT) project management in a rapidly growing and diverse US Air Force (USAF) special enclave network supporting operational test and electronic warfare missions. This position provides project management advice and technical support to support classified networks and associated operations personnel. In this role, the employee must be able to:
Perform strategic planning and analysis for long-range computer network architectures
Gather and understand requirements
Write statements of work (SOWs)/statements of objectives (SOOs)
Coordinate with local organizations as well as MAJCOM/Air Staff and other DoD agency personnel on accomplishment of projects on project objectives
Interface with technical/engineering customers
Provide weekly status reports and briefings, as required
Manage diverse groups across all computer support disciplines
Activities may be directed, monitored, outlined, and supervised by a more senior program manager or Task Lead, but employee must be able to work independently. The employee will perform other project manager/analyst tasks, as assigned. Travel to locations other than Eglin AFB, FL, to include overseas travel, for temporary duty may be required periodically.
Qualifications:
Education
Program Manager course (or equivalent experience) is required.
Technical degree in IT or related technical field or program management is highly desired.
Formal training covering JSIG/DCID security principals is desired.
Required Experience
Must have TS/SCI with DCID 6/4 eligibility within 5.5 years at the time of application
Must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph
7-9 years direct experience
DoD 8570.01-M IAT-II Certification (e.g., Security or better)
Understanding of the Government organizational hierarchy
Knowledge of Air Force computer, personnel security, and facility directives (specifically JSIG and DCID documents).
Familiarity with accepted program/project management practices, the Air Force budget process, and JSIG/DCID security requirements is essential.
Working knowledge of computer operating systems (Windows 7/10) and computer network principles such as DNS, WINCS, Active Directory, and computer applications such as Exchange, and Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Desired Skills
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in special enclave program management is highly desired.
Electronic Warfare mission data development familiarity is desired.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, troubleshooting, and USAF IT security is desired.

Essential Functions
Work Environment
Office setting that includes sedentary physical effort. However, may include lifting of weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary. Individual must be able to work well with co-workers and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Periodic/occasional travel may be required to include both continental US and/or overseas locations.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing, and reading from a computer screen. Individual must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Equipment and Machines
Ability to operate office equipment such as personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.
Attendance
Typical work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Regular attendance during scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, with the exceptions of deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Employee may be required to adjust work hours due to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
Other Essential Functions
Individual must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Individual must have clear, concise and accurate verbal and written English communications skills. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Individual must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to work site is required. Travel to and from customer's locations may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel; in some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, individual must wear a seat belt. In addition, no cellular devices are to be used when the vehicle is in motion.
