TSSC Database Generation System Engineer / Australia

Description:This position is for the F-35 TSSC Database Generation System Engineering position for the RAAF Williamtown Australia location as an expatriate employee. This position will have the responsibility for Database Generation System (DBGS) processes, supporting data and database product production. The TSSC overall is responsible for sustainment of the fielded Training System enterprise providing pilot and maintainer training across multiple training locations. The Training System includes classroom infrastructure, courseware, and training devices that support the training mission. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for sustainment of multispectral simulation databases for use in the Full Mission Simulators. The DBGS Engineer will have the opportunity to work with imagery, height maps, and vector data, fusing them together into immersive 3D worlds. This involves use of a specific software modelling toolkit to build and modify gaming areas, moving models, environmental characteristics and visual effects based on evolving training operational requirements. Multispectral Database Generation System Engineers must have two overlapping skill sets. DBGS Modelling tasks involve converting geographic source material into the visual and sensor gaming areas in the Full Mission Simulator. DBGS Entity Modelling requires the additional, distinct skill of creating and modifying 3-dimensional moving models. These moving models represent friendly, enemy and neutral vehicles including aircraft, ships, tanks, cars, trains, and other entities. Entity modeling also includes the visual and sensor representations of air, ground and sea based threats but does not include the software that controls their behavior or interaction with the F-35 ownship.
