The U.S. Air Force is developing a new Long-Range Stand-Off (LRSO) nuclear missile.? The service plans to field the LRSO by 2030 to replace the current, General Dynamics (now Raytheon) AGM-129A Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM) that originally entered service in 1991.? On 23 August 2017, the Air Force awarded Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) contracts to Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, Arizona and Lockheed-Martin Missiles and Fire Control, Orlando, Florida.? The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDB), which is resident at Eglin AFB, Florida, is the System Program Office (SPO) responsible for the acquisition.? The Government is rapidly expanding the LRSO SPO, and has contracted with Torch Technologies, Inc., to provide engineering and engineering management Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) under the Technical and Management Advisory Services (TMAS) contract.? Torch is seeking candidates for a broad s pectrum of technical positions ranging from network system administration and Information Technology (IT) for a nationwide, secure network supporting the program, through the full spectrum of science and engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, vendors, USG and prime contractor personnel during the design, development, testing and fielding of component and subsystems associated with the LRSO program.? He or she will advise and assist in requirements definitions, preliminary design assessment, review processes, test plan development and integrated testing of circuit cards to be used in avionics components of the next generation nuclear cruise missile.? These components include those associated with the guidance, navigation, control, arming and targeting.
