BRC provides "best-value" technical and management solutions to a diverse government and commercial customer base in the following key business areas: test & evaluation, systems analysis & integration, security & intelligence, and R&D. Our cybersecurity aircraft test team is searching for new members who can help us conduct penetration tests on aircraft systems. The experience set we are searching for hardware/software reverse engineers, and embedded systems engineers. This position provides support to the 47th Cyberspace Test Squadron at Eglin AFB, FL. Responsibilities: Conduct independent compliance assessments, penetration testing, data collection, test automation, and reporting. Develop test tools and strategies for cybersecurity testing on DoD aircraft and weapons. Perform system security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify vulnerabilities. Execute hands-on testing which includes significant technical skills with multiple operating systems. Provide technical guidance and expertise to test teams. Document and communicate test results effectively to technical and non-technical user groups in written and oral formats. Minimum Requirements: Technical Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cybersecurity or Computer Science and 3-10 years of relevant technical experience in the field of cybersecurity and/or IT systems. Six years of applicable technical experience may be substituted for the technical BS degree requirement (minimum 9 years' experience) or four years of experience with an applicable Associates Degree (minimum 7 years' experience). Active SECRET clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret - (Single Scope Background Investigation). US Citizenship. Knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems. Understanding of network security/engineering. Analytical skills and problem solving skills. Good organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills. Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively in small and large team settings to solve complex problems. Travel 15-20 weeks per year. Must be able to obtain DOD 8570 IAT Level 3 certification (CASP, CISSP, etc.) within 6 months of hire, and maintain certification throughout employment. Other Job Information (if applicable): ? Job experience leading cybersecurity test events. Experience testing networks using Nessus, Wireshark, Metasploit, Kali, Nmap and related tools. Knowledge of common wired and wireless network protocol structures. Experience with a non-IP bus protocol (CAN bus, Mil-Std 1553, ARINC 429, etc.) Experience with aircraft avionics. Hardware/Software reverse engineering. Embedded systems engineering. Experience with munitions testing/evaluation. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
