INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST

This is a GG- 12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the Professional work category are at the Full Performance work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. THIS IS AN AIR RESERVE TECHNICIAN (ART) POSITION ARTs are part of the regular career civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain their active membership in the Air Force (AF0 Reserve unit where assigned. ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. They are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency. 014N3- LT COL (05) SPECIALIZED

Applicant must possess quality level experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Quality experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of mission, organization, programs and functions of 926 GP and its relationships to major customers. Note:

Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of mission, organization, programs and functions of 926 GP and its relationships to major customers, including the USAFWC, Air Combat Command and Combatant Commanders. 2. Knowledge of broad organizational concepts to include unit and mission objectives, operational taskings, manpower, funding, administration, and command relationships. 3. Knowledge of cross-tell data gathered from other units with differing missions (up through and to include HHQ) in developing plans and tactics to improve mission and organizational effectiveness. 4. Extensive knowledge of intelligence procedures, methodology, techniques and strategies including but not limited to:
force protection; classified materials handling; Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (IPOE) and Predictive Battlespace Awareness (PBA) analysis; mobility/deployment preparations, requirements and materials such as Combat Mission folders; AFRC intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) computer systems/software; command, control and communications protection; intelligence data collection, validation and production procedures; and project management techniques. 5. Broad knowledge of military structure, political affairs and history regarding assigned area when analyzing intelligence data. 6. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of real or potential security threats to or problems for program operations. 7. Ability to plan detailed and complex studies, anticipate and solve problems, and to collect, organize, and interrelate large amounts of diversely formatted data drawn from a wide variety of sources. 8. Skill and ability to lead and facilitate teams toward development and execution of action plans. 9. Skill and ability in oral and written communications to prepare and deliver briefings and reports, lead discussions, deliver training, conduct workshops and seminars, and execute projects. 10. Knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to assess information, plan sequence of required actions, make sound decisions, and solve variety of information operations related problems. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
